[FF] Clan Frag Fortress is a Canadian Quakeworld clan established in 2007 by R-PWNS, now known as FishMarket. Born out of the competitive QWTF scene, Frag Fortress built its reputation on relentless teamwork, precision play, and old-school Quake spirit.
FishMarket continues to play today and actively hosts multiple QuakeTF servers to keep the community alive. Whether you're a veteran of the fortress or a fresh grunt, this is your home.

Clan History // the chronicle of [FF]
2007
The Birth of Frag Fortress
Clan Frag Fortress was founded in 2007 by a Canadian QuakeWorld player known at the time as
R-PWNS. Starting with a small group of QWTF enthusiasts,
the clan set up its first servers and began competing in the QuakeWorld Team Fortress community.
The clan tag [FF] was adopted, and Frag Fortress
quickly became a known name in the Canadian QW scene.
2007–2008
Building the Roster
The early years were spent forging the clan's identity on the QWTF servers. R-PWNS, later
known as FishMarket, served as the driving force behind
recruitment, server management, and match organization. The clan developed a reputation for
aggressive, coordinated play with a strong emphasis on team fortress fundamentals.
2009
Entering Team Fortress Classic
With momentum growing, the clan made the decision to branch into
Team Fortress Classic while maintaining their core QWTF
activity. This expanded the clan's reach and brought in new members from the Half-Life modding
community. The [FF] tag crossed over to TFC servers, keeping the identity unified.
2010
Quake 3 Arena — CTF Division
In 2010, Clan Frag Fortress expanded into Quake III Arena
Capture the Flag. The transition to Q3A CTF pushed the clan into faster-paced, arena-style
competition while the QWTF roots remained strong. Members played competitively across
multiple platforms simultaneously.
2011
Quake Live — Return to QWTF
2011 saw the clan move into Quake Live, id Software's
browser-based competitive Quake platform. The clan stuck to their CTF roots. Throughout all of this expansion, QuakeWorld Team
Fortress remained the clan's home game — the foundation everything else was built upon.
The clan was at its most active during this period.
2012–2013
The Exodus Begins
As the years passed, clan members began drifting away from the Quake scene. Real life,
new games, and changing interests slowly thinned the roster. Match activity decreased, and
the energy that had defined [FF]'s peak years began to fade. The community that had held
the clan together was scattering.
2014
Official Disbanding
By 2014, the last active members had moved on. With no players left to field a team, the
clan officially disbanded — leaving FishMarket
(formerly R-PWNS), the founder, as the sole remaining member. He kept the servers
running as a testament to what [FF] had built.
2014 → Present
The Last Man Standing
FishMarket continues to play QuakeWorld to this day. He maintains active
QuakeTF servers for anyone who wants to frag, keeping
the spirit of Clan Frag Fortress alive long after most of the old guard moved on.
The [FF] tag still flies, and the servers still run.

What [FF] Stands For
Clan Frag Fortress was never just about winning matches. It was about showing up,
fragging hard, and playing together as a clan. Seven years
of competition, four games, one tag. That doesn't disappear.
